Happiness comes from knowing who you really are, which in turn is in knowing God. If we base our happiness on people or objects, when the people or the objects are not there, then our happiness goes away. Real happiness is beyond what the person or the object can bring you.Tremendous happiness overcomes you when you experience who you really are. This state of happiness will you carry with you if you choose to be happy. This state of being is within yourself. You need no thing to be happy, because happiness is your natural state.
Many people choose situations to be unhappy about, or boy friends or girl friends or work or life or any mixture of a jillion different things. Many people feel that they have nothing to be happy about at all. They see life as a bunch of things and a hard time...and then they die. If these people would realize that they are an eternal spirit they would become overjoyed with happiness immediately.
To know who you are you must go to the very center of your being, and experience what's there. Instantaneous enlightenment. Instantaneous happiness when you know who you really are. Happiness is in the present. If you are still...you will see. Most people think theirselves into a lack of happiness. By being in a constant stream of thought is the maintaining of the ego proclaimed. When there is no thought there is happiness. When there is no thought there is a beingness of God. The presence. To be in the presence of God...pure happiness.
Ego gratification or soul happiness? The choice is yours. The free will is there. The pure consciousness and unconditional love is there, how will you choose your life to be? We always put our awareness outside of ourselves All of our senses are playing outside of the body and we believe that it is reality. This is why too many people have not realized the inner experience, the ultimate happiness. The veil of maya is very strong and only the initate with the pure heart will be able to pierce through to the light. Only that person with 100% of will acting through the heart..... Literally that means doing nothing... no thought, no desire ...and you literally walk through the gates of heaven. When we bring our awareness to the inside we discover happiness because we recover the lost keys to the kingdom. |
